"Wego 2 Africa" Project

Students in Community High School's Community Leadership class are spreading their influence beyond their district. They joined with other clubs and local businesses in raising $10,000 to build a school in the village of Sakutopi, Angola. Teacher, Mary Ellen Daneels, commented that, "The students are really excited about this opportunity to have a positive impact on the children of Angola."
In 2008, students filled and shipped a 20' container of clothes and supplies to Angola, and in 2009, filled backpacks with school supplies  to be shipped to Angola. Funds were raised to help build a classroom in a new RISE school.
