2006 Update: ARC, now sponsored by teacher Sara Strauss, continues their efforts. The club has raised enough funds to build another school in rural Angola.	The African Refugee Club (ARC) was founded by Wheeling:High School (Wheeling, IL) chemistry teacher, Pete Fischbach. Members of the club, in an effort to aid Angolan refugees forced to flee their homes and country because of a civil war, collected supplies to send to a refugee camp in Zambia. Contributors donated enough blankets, clothes, school and medical supplies to fill a 20 foot container.
