102 runners joined Team RISE in 2010. The races are completed and Team RISE has succeeded in raising enough funds for two U-shape schools, making it possible for 1600 more kids to receive an education. One of the schools was built in the central highlands Province of Bie in the village of Sao Jose. The other in the rural village of Atiopo in the Province of Benguela. Thanks to the runners, their families and friends, donors and supporters who have helped us get this far!

Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2009
Of the 45,000 registered runners in the 2009 Chicago Marathon, 8,400 people were running for a charity, for a bigger cause! There were 14,000 new runners to the Marathon and 12,000 volunteers. 24 Team RISE runners had a big goal of raising $80,000 to build a school, and actually enough was donated to build two, one U-shape for 800 children and an L-shape for another 500. The schools were built at Kaila in the Huila Privince, a place where there has never been a school. This effort has impacted 1300 kids and their families immediately, and many more for years to come!
