Bank of America Team RISE Update |

The weather was great and all 24 Team RISE runners finished well! There were Team RISE supporters in numerous locations along the route to cheer the team. A huge thank goes out to all who made this possible--the runners, their families and friends, donors and supporters of Team RISE!
Of the 45,000 registered runners, 8400 people were running for a charity, for a bigger cause! There were 14,000 new runners to the Chicago Marathon and 12,000 volunteers. Team RISE had a big goal of raising $80,000 to build a school, and now enough has been donated to build two, one U-shape for 800 children and an L-shape for another 500. The schools will be built at Kaila in the Huila Province, 50km south of Lubango, a place where there has never been a school. This will impact more than 1300 kids and their families immediately, and many more for years to come! |
