Why education? A whole generation has been without education, unable to learn to read and write. Each month, each year that passes is time lost for these children hoping to rebuild their lives and future. Education is the driving force behind any strong economy and a key factor in social and economic growth and well-being. Yet the task of rebuilding the educational system is enormous. RISE works with the Angolan Ministry of Education to help jump start their efforts. |

By partnering with local churches and community leaders to build schools in remote and nearly inaccessible villages, RISE is able to bring the opportunity to receive an education to thousands of children who would otherwise not be served for years to come. Education is the key component in breaking the cycle of poverty and despair. The schools and churches in Angola offer the vehicle for dispersing knowledge, life skills and hope for the future. |
