Teacher Training Workshops Chilonda - Bie Province |

A RISE team returned to Angola in July of 2006 to continue the initiative begun in 2005, this time conducting workshops in two Angolan provinces. The team of 20 held two one-week training workshops, one at Chilonda in the province of Bie, and one in the province of Benguela. The sessions were enthusiastically attended by teachers, administrators and leaders. The team not only developed relationships within the RISE network of schools, but also came away with a deeper understanding of the culture and people of Angola. These interactions will be useful in expanding the knowledge base necessary to ultimately develop permanent teacher training institutes in Angola. |
